Diana Padilla

TitleAssociate Head Athletic Trainer, Soccer
A native of Bernalillo, New Mexico, Diana Padilla joined the athletics department in 2007. Prior to arriving to Tempe, Diana had previous experience working at Oregon State University and the University of New Mexico.
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2003 from University of New Mexico, she went on to earn her master’s degree from Oregon State University in 2005 and a post graduate certification in Health Care Administration.
She is a board certified and licensed athletic trainer and a NASM Corrective Exercise & Performance Enhancement Specialist. Furthermore, she is trained in ASTYM, Graston Technique M1, Owens Recovery Science Blood Flow Restriction, and holds a certification in Applied Functional Science.
She is a professional member of National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers’ Society, Arizona Athletic Trainers’ Association, and College Athletic Trainers’ Association. Having previously serving as representative on the NATA Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee, Intercollegiate Council for Sports Medicine, NATA REF Scholarship Committee, and a Pac-12 grant reviewer, she enjoys professional engagement opportunities.
In her free time, she enjoys continuously learning as a black belt student and instructor in Tang Soo Do, as well as running and triathlons.
