Analysa Mata joined the Sports Medicine staff in November of 2022 and serves as the athletic trainer for the Sun Devil Women’s Basketball team. She comes to Tempe from Colorado, where she spent the last six years working at the University of Northern Colorado.
A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Analysa earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of New Mexico in 2015. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Science with an emphasis in biomechanics in 2018 from the University of Northern Colorado.
Analysa is a certified and licensed athletic trainer in Arizona. She is certified in Functional Dry Needling through Structure and Function and is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercises Specialist.
She is a professional member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers’ Association. In her free time, Analysa enjoys reading, hiking, running and spending time with her two dogs, Wiggles and Leo.
