- Played middle and outside linebacker for his high school football team, totaling 300 tackles in 31 games in three seasons.
- In 2015, he had the fourth most tackles (50) on a nationally-ranked team
- In 2016, he had the most tackles on the top-25 team, second most in the WCAC
- In 2014, he garnered Second Team All-County Linebacker accolades as a sophomore as well as receiving Honorable Mention from the Baltimore Sun
- Named to the Maryland State Wrestling Association All-Academic Team three years straight (2015-17)
