2021-22 (Redshirt junior):
2020-21 (Redshirt Junior):
- Used his COVID year to retain redshirt junior eligibility.
- Finished with a 5-6 record (1 fall, 1 SV1).
- Won both matches he appeared in at the Mountaineer Open, defeating App State’s Jacob Barlow 8-5, and VMI’s Brian Jackson 10-5.
- Took three out of the four he wrestled in at the Cowboy Open, winning with a fall, a 10-4 decision, and a 5-4 SV-1.
- Wrestled at the 2022 U.S. Open.
2020-21 (Redshirt Junior):
- Claimed a position to compete at 2021 U.S. Senior World Team Trials for Greco-Roman (97 kg) in September
- Placed 4th at U.S. Senior Nationals in 97 kg Greco-Roman (3-1)
- Porter went 1-5 in extra individual matches -- his lone win was via decision
- Went 3-1 at 2020 Senior Nationals in 97 kg Greco-Roman and placed 2nd in the weight class
- Was apart of Team USA's Greco-Roman team (97 kg) at the U23 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary
- Competed in Trnava, Slovakia for on Team USA's Greco-Roman team (97 kg) at Junior World Championships in September
- Finished 6th at 197 lbs at NDSU's Bison Open on Nov. 10
- Earned the 97 kg spot on the Junior Greco-Roman World Team at Junior GR WTT in June.
- Redshirted the season
- Concluded his senior season with only two losses (both out of state) and pinned his opponent in 39 seconds to claim his second state championship in the 195 pound weight class in 2017
- As a junior, pinned his three opponents on his way to the state finals, where he won the championship by an impressive technical fall
- Majoring in Mechanical Engineering (Computational Mechanics)
