- Won on a fall in 4:18 to defeat Tyler Pieper (South Dakota State) in the second round of the Daktronics Open

- Finished the season with a 1-3 record at 133 pounds.

- Redshirt the 2012-2013 season.

- Graduate of Sunrise Mountain High School (Peoria, Ariz.).
- Posted an overall record of of 128-29.
- Arizona high school state runner-up as a senior and junior (2011,2012).
- Placed fifth at state as a freshman and sophmore (2009,2010).
- Four-time sectional/region champion.
- Was named a captain his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
- Student Athlete of the Month honoree.
