Junior (2024-25, Northern Colorado)
Went 9-12 on the season with one fall, three major decisions, and twenty-two take downs.
Cougar Clash (12/07): Went 3-1 on the day with a bye round, one major decision, and one decision. Southern Scuffle (01/04-05): Went 3-3 with two wins by decision and one win by pin. CSU Bakersfield (01/10): Won by major decision over Steve Caday, 11-1. South Dakota State (02/07): Won by decision over Avery Allen, 4-3. Utah Valley (02/14): Recorded another major decision win over a tough opponent. Winning 14-4 over Smokey McClure. Air Force (02/23): Wrapped up the regular season with a big tech fall win over Bryce Shelton, 17-2 / 3:56.
Redshirt sophomore (2023-24, Northern Colorado)
Recorded an 11-13 record with two falls and one tech fall.
Fort Hays State (11/03): Pinned Marcell Dely, 2:44. New Mexico Highlands (11/03): Pinned Deklyn Miller, 4:33. Presbyterian College (11/17): Won by decision over Trent Donahue, 3-1. Buffalo (11/17): Won by decision over Kaleb Burgess, 3-2. Black Knight Invitational (11/19): Went 3-2 at Black Knight Invitational in West Point, NY with two wins by decision and one win in overtime. Southern Scuffle (01/01-02): Went 2-2 at Southern Scuffle with one tech fall win and one win by decision. Air Force (02/18): Won by decision over Joe Fernau, 7-1.
Redshirt freshman (2022-23, Northern Colorado)
Posted a 10-6 record with one fall, one tech fall, and three major decisions… Made his collegiate dual debut with a 11-4 decision win over Edinboro’s Jacob Pail.
Northeast Junior College (12/18): Majored Channing Warner 17-6. Utah Valley (02/10): During his first Big XII dual match, Alanis won by decision over Kainalu Estrella 5-3. Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open (02/12): Went 4-1 at Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open in Golden, Colo., with a win by pin over CSU-Pueblo’s Brando Bigler, majored Air Force’s Alec Viduya, a tech fall win over Dylan Pickering from Adams State, and a major decision win over John Finnegan (Colorado Mesa) to place third overall at 149.
Freshman (2021-22, Northern Colorado)
Competed in seven events as a true freshman … Went 7-5 overall … Placed third at the Mines: Rookie Open … Ended the season with one fall and one major decision.

Alanis comes to Northern Colorado from Tucson, Arizona, and Valiant Prep High School … Ranked as the No. 25 overall recruit in the Class of 2021 and No. 4 nationally at 138 lbs …He is a two-time FloNationals All-American and a two-time NHSCA All-American. He has also earned All-American honors at the UWW Junior and USAW Junior levels…He was also a Super 32 medalist, placing fifth at 138 lbs in 2020.
Alanis is the son of Everardo Alanis and April Avalos … He has two brothers, Everardo Jr. and Antonio, and one sister, Graciela.
