- Bumped up a weight class to serve as the Sun Devils' starter at 149 for a majority of the season
- Went 13-7, including 6-4 in duals, at 149 this season
- Biggest win came against Oklahoma State's Carter Young, beating him 9-7 on Nov. 24 in Stillwater
- Consistently ranked as a top-20 wrestler in the country by all major outlets like FloWrestling, InterMat and WrestleStat
- Posted an 11-4 record this season, with four of those victories coming in the postseason
- Won the first Pac-12 Championship title of his career on March 10 in Corvallis, beating Cleveland Belton (Oregon State) and Jason Miranda (Stanford)
- One of eight Sun Devils to qualify for the NCAA Championships, where he went 2-2 to help the Sun Devils place sixth overall. Beat Jordan Titus (West Virginia) and Malyke Hines (Lehigh)
- Returned to the Sun Devil lineup full-time in February after an injury held him out for nearly three months. Won nine of his first 10 matches since returning
- Consistently ranked as one of the country's top 141-pounders this season by FloWrestling and Intermat
- Finished with a 16-7 record with four major decisions and one tech-fall victory.
- Went 6-2 in duels this season with two major decision victories and a sudden victory over No. 20 Casey Swiderski of Iowa State.
- Ended his season with a 5-2 decision victory over No. 17 Cleveland Belton of Oregon State.
- Had two separate winning streaks of at least four wins during the season.
- Opened the season as No. 26 at 141 and earned a 3-2 upset victory over No. 6 Allan Hart (Missouri) in the home opening dual against No. 3 Missouri (ASU was No. 3). That victory earned him Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week honors (Nov. 22).
- Went 2-1 at the Journeyman Collegiate Classic with a fall and a decision. He was awarded with a hammer award.
- Was defeated by 12/21 Sammy Alvarez (RU) by an 8-4 decision.
2021-22 (Freshman):
- 7-1 record before suffering a season-ending injury. Held the starting role at 141 before his injury.
- Won the 141 weight class at the Mountaineer Invitational with a perfect 4-0 record. Recorded two falls and a major decision.
- Debuted on the varsity team with a 13-5 Major decision win against Oklahoma’s Jacob Butler. Went on to earn 14-9 and 9-7 decisions over Hofstra’s Justin Hoyle and Virginia Tech’s Collin Gerardi.
- Free COVID-19 year was used across the entire 2020-21 roster, keeping him a freshman.
2020-21 (Freshman):
- Earned his first pin (4:03) of his collegiate career on Feb. 6th versus Warren Carr from Wyoming
- Won his first college bout on Jan. 2nd against Little Rock's Joseph Bianchi in a 12-6 decision.
- Vasquez went 4-2 wrestling in individual matches for the Sun Devils
- He went 3-2 in the 65 kg Junior Freestyle at the United World Wrestling Juniors tournament in Omaha (Nov. 14-15)
- California winner of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Museum's Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award in 2020.
- He was successful at the Walsh Ironman, placing second in his freshman year and sixth as a sophomore
- Appeared in the finals twice at Super 32 and once at the Doc Buchanan Invitational
- He was the fourth California male wrestler and the first Southern California wrestler to win four straight CIF state championships
- Vasquez compiled four state championships between three different schools throughout his high school years (St. John Bosco, Santiago, Excelsior Charter)
- Final college decision came down to Arizona State and Iowa
- Vasquez was the No. 10 overall prospect to start his senior year, finishing the season as the second-ranked wrestler in the nation at 145 lbs
