Sun Devil Swim and Dive announced the hiring of Corey Manley on June 14, 2024.
Manley, served as a data scientist for USA Swimming, a position he's had since February 2023, and is involved with a variety of projects that relate to performance and data across all swimmers. He brings a unique skill set to his position and before being a data scientist, he was a data analyst for a year before he was promoted.
Before joining USA Swimming, Manley spent three years working in finance as a data scientist and learning how to aid business-wide decision-making. He's a 2019 graduate of Holy Cross with a degree in economics and is currently working on his master's of science in applied statistics and data science at the University of Villanova.
Swimming has been part of Manley's life at all levels, from high school, club, college, masters and at the professional level. He has coached for nearly 10 seasons and is a former student-athlete at Holy Cross as he competed for three seasons for the men's swim team. He was named to the All-Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2018 and served as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
