FRESHMAN (2022-23)
PRIOR TO ASU
The No. 2 overall recruit in the country, Paula Schulz-Hanssen, signed with Sun Devil Women's Golf. Another top European golfer will come to Tempe, continuing the program's tradition of success in the area. Schulz-Hanssen will follow in the footsteps of 2017 National Champion Sophia Zeeb and current standout Alexandra Forsterling, joining the Sun Devil family from Germany. She is the 2020 European Ladies' Amateur Championship after opening with back-to-back rounds of 66 and holding off her competitor in a playoff to win the title. That tournament also included current Sun Devils Linn Grant, Amanda Linner, Alessandra Fanali, and Alexandra Forsterling. Schulz-Hanssen is the first Sun Devil signee to have won the top European Amateur title since Carlota Ciganda back in 2004. She is currently ranked No. 19 on WAGR and has been as high as No. 7, making her the top recruit in this category to sign with ASU since Olivia Mehaffey in 2015. She also advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2020 The Women's Amateur Championship and was a runner-up with Germany at the 2020 European Girls' Team Championships. Schulz-Hanssen finished in the top-10 of all but one of her six starts last year, which included a win at the Swiss International Ladies' Championship. Schulz-Hanssen most recently won the Junior Solheim Cup with Team Europe this year. Schulz-Hanssen competed with some of top amateurs in the world at the prestigious Augusta National Women's Amateur, traveling to the United States for a chance to compete at famed Augusta National Golf Course.

FRESHMAN (2022-23)
- Teaming up with Beth Coulter to form one of the most successful freshman duos in the country.
- Currently ranked No. 53 in the nation by Golfweek and No. 59 according to Golfstat.
- Competed in nine tournaments for the Sun Devils, becoming a mainstay in the lineup.
- Earned a spot in the lineup and made her postseason debut at the Pac-12 Women's Golf Championship.
- Made it back-to-back Top-15 finishes when she ended tied for 15th at the Silverado Showdown.
- Delivered consecutive rounds under par to start out the PING/ASU Invitational, eventually finishing in a tie for 11th.
- A 70 (-2) in the second round helped her earn a tie for 16th at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, which aired nationally on GOLF Channel.
- Put together the best performance of her young career at the Nexus Collegiate, finishing tied for fourth.
- She opened the Nexus Collegiate with a 71 (-1) to set the tone for a Top-5 finish.
- Finished in third place out of 36 golfers at the Match in the Desert after recording a career-low 66 (-6).
- Shot a 72 (E) in the second round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, only her second-ever collegiate round.
