CAREER NOTES

  • Proved to be an outstanding scorer in her first season as a Sun Devil in 2022-23.
  • The 2024-25 season will be Skinner’s second playing for the Sun Devils after missing the 2023-24 season due to injury.
  • Played first two seasons at Delaware before transferring to ASU after the 2021-22 season.
  • In 2022-23, earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors from the league's coaches and All-Pac-12 recognition from media who cover the league and quickly established herself as one of top scorers in the Pac-12 and one of the most exciting players in the nation to watch. 
  • Started 32 of 61 games and averaged 10.9 ppg and knocked down 96 triples in two seasons at Delaware.
  • Including ASU and Delaware, Skinner has played in 89 career games (60 starts) and has scored 1,203 points (13.5 ppg).
  • Led team in assists and 3-pointers as a sophomore, helping Delaware earn its first NCAA Tournament berth in nearly a decade.
  • Earned CAA All-Rookie Team recognition in 2020-21.
2023-24 (Arizona State)
  • Was announced on October 4, 2023 that Tyi Skinner would miss the 2023-24 season due to a knee injury.
2022-23 (Arizona State)
  • A starter in all 28 games, Skinner averaged 19.3 points per game, the most by a Sun Devil since the 1988-89 season. 
  • Earned All-Pac-12 recognition from media that cover the league and All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors.
  • Scored in double figures in 25 of ASU’s 28 games.
  • Concluded her first campaign in the Maroon and Gold among the leaders in the Pac-12 in points per game (19.3/2nd/ 27th in the nation), 3-pointers per game (2.43 per game / 2nd), minutes per game (36.59 / 3rd / 29th in the nation), free throws made (79 / 3rd)  and attempted (91/4th), steals per game (1.71/5th), 3-point FG percentage (34.7/6th) and free throw percentage (78.1/8th).
  • Opened the season with 16 straight games scoring in double figures.
  • Scored 20 or more points 15 times, including a career-high 29 points at Grand Canyon on (Nov. 30) and again vs. Missouri (Dec. 4).
  • Finished the season with 539 points, the most since 2001-02.
2021-22 (DELAWARE)
  • Started 30 of 32 games and led the team in assists (3.3), 3-pointers (66) and 3-point FG percentage (35.3) and finished third on the team in scoring (12.8 ppg).
  • Tied her career-best seven assists four times.
  • Tied team’s single-season high of five 3-pointers on two occasions: at William & Mary (Jan. 28) and at Towson (Mar. 3).
  • Came off the bench and poured in 18 points, including shooting 44.4% from beyond the arc in season opener vs. Chestnut Hill (Nov. 9).
  • Set a new career-high with 25 points against Towson (Mar. 3).
  • Knocked down two free throws with 0.4 seconds remaining to put the Blue Hens over the top in in 56-55 win vs. Towson (Mar. 12) to advance the Blue Hens to the CAA finals for the second-straight year.
  • Was one of two Blue Hens who scored in double figures (10 points) in NCAA First Round contest vs. Maryland (Mar. 18).
2020-21 (DELAWARE)
  • Earned CAA All-Rookie Team recognition for a season in which she appeared in all 29 games (two starts) and averaged 8.8 points, 1.8 assists, 1.6 rebounds and 0.9 steals per game. 
  • Scored 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting in a 93-88 win over St. John's (Dec. 10).
  • Led the team with 16 points in an 86-59 win at Northeastern (Jan. 4), highlighted by a 6-of-7 performance from the free throw line.
  • Earned CAA Rookie of the Week (Jan. 11).
  • Was named to the WNIT Charlotte All-Region Team after scoring a season-high 22 points twice. First 22-point outing included the #1 play on ESPN's Sportscenter Top 10 after hitting two half-court buzzer in 87-74 win over Clemson in the Second Round of the WNIT (Mar. 20).
  • Had second consecutive 22-point effort in 77-70 win over Villanova (Mar. 22) that clinched the WNIT Charlotte Region championship.  
 
HIGH SCHOOL
  • Transferred to TPLS Christian Academy from National Christian Academy midway through junior season.
  • Averaged 23 points, 6.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game as a junior.
  • Member of the National Honors Society and Honor Roll.
