CAREER NOTES

• The younger sister of former Sun Devil guard Promise Amukamara, Peace transferred to ASU from Mesa Community College in April 2014.

• Played in every game in 2014-15 and finished 3rd on the team in assists (2.1 apg).

• Played in 68 career games.

• Best all-around performance of the 2014-15 season came in win over SMU (Dec. 6) in which she scored 11 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 6 assists (all season bests).

• Capped off her two years at MCC with a virtuoso season in 2014 in which she earned NJCAA All-American honors and helped lead MCC to its first NJCAA DII Women’s Basketball national championship in program history. 

• Was named the NJCAA Division II Player of the Year for a sophomore campaign in which she led the team in scoring (14.1 ppg) to go along with stellar per-game averages in rebounds (5.6), assists (4.9) and steals (2.2).

• A 2012 graduate of Goodyear Millennium, Peace was all-state honorable mention as a senior (15.6 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.1 spg and 2.4 apg).

• Started high school career at Glendale Apollo where she and Promise were a part of the Class 4A Division I state title team in 2010-11.

2015-16

• Played in every game and finished 5th on the team in assists (1.4 apg).

• Earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention recognition.

• Scored 5 or more points 10x, including a season-high 9 points in win at Stanford (Feb. 16).

• Had 3 or more assists 7x.

• Made her last 13 free throws.

• Scored 7 points and had 4 assists in win at Hawaii (Nov. 28).

• Connected on a pair of 3-pointers in the first half of ASU’s win at Washington (Jan. 8).

• Scored 7 points, dished out season-best 5 assists and tied career high with 3 steals vs. Utah (Jan. 17).

• Tied career high with 3 steals in win at Oregon (Jan. 29).

2014-15 

• Played in every game and finished 3rd on the team in assists (2.1 apg).

• Recorded 4 or more assists 8x.

• Best all-around performance of the season came in win over SMU (Dec. 6) in which she scored 11 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 6 assists (all season bests).

• Scored 8 points and had 3 assists in win over Oregon (Jan. 23).

• Scored 8 points (4-6 FGs) and had 2 assists vs. Cal (Feb. 8).

• Added 7 points (3-6 FGs) in win at USC (Feb. 22).

• Scored 9 points to go along with 3 assists in win vs. Utah (Feb. 27).

• Scored 5 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in Pac-12 Tournament quarterfinal win over Washington State (Mar. 6).

• Added 5 assists in NCAA Tournament Second Round win vs. UALR (Mar. 23).

MESA COMMUNITY COLLEGE

• Capped off her two years at MCC with a virtuoso season in which she earned NJCAA All-American honors and helped lead MCC to its first NJCAA DII Women’s Basketball national championship in program history. 

• Was named the NJCAA Division II Player of the Year for a sophomore campaign in which she led the team in scoring (14.1 ppg) to go along with stellar per-game averages in rebounds (5.6), assists (4.9) and steals (2.2). 

• Proved to be clutch in the Thunderbirds’ run to the national title as she posted her first career triple-double (23 points, 10 assists and a career-high 13 rebounds) in the semifinals before recording a career-high 28 points and 11 rebounds in the championship game. 

• She would go on to be named MVP of the tournament. 

• As a freshman, Amukamara earned second-team all-Region I and third-team all-ACCAC recognition in helping Mesa reach the national championship game.

HIGH SCHOOL 

• A 2012 graduate of Goodyear Millennium, Peace was all-state honorable mention as a senior as she averaged 15.6 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.1 spg and 2.4 apg.

• Started her high school career at Glendale Apollo where she and Promise were a part of the Class 4A Division I state title team in 2010-11.

PERSONAL

• Major is Family and Human Development.

• Parents are Christy & Romanus Amukamara. •

• Has five siblings: Princess 29, Prince 26, Precious 25, Promise 22, and Passionate 18. Prince plays for the New York Giants. He was drafted in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the eventual Super Bowl champion New York Giants. Last year Peace and Promise were teammates on the Sun Devils during Promise's senior season.
