2011 (Senior):
Wrapped up senior year with 41 kills, averaging 1.52 kills per set, the sixth best average on the squad... Also contributed 23 block assists... Notched 53.5 points on the year.
2010 (Junior):
Finished the season with 201 kills, the fourth best on the squad, with a .197 attack percentage... Finished third on the team in blocks with 89 total... received Pac-10 All-Academic team honorable mention.
2009 (Sophomore):
Jumped in for an immediate impact playing in 53 sets and finishing the season fifth on the team in kills with 87 for a 1.64 kills per set average... was also seventh on the squad in blocks with 49 total blocks... posted a career high 12 kills at Montana Sept, 12... also posted a career-high eight blocks against UCLA on Sept. 25 to help lead ASU to a three-game sweep of the Bruins.
BYU:
Played in 55 matches as a freshman outside...collected 106 kills on the year while posting eight assists and five service aces... on defense Malia collected 68 digs and 58 blocks, one solo on the season.
High School:
A 2008 graduate of Vista High School in Vista, Calif where she was a four-year letterwinner at Vista High School under coach Tina Kinkead ... named All-CIF and All-North County Times in her last three seasons as well as being a four-year All-Avocado League honoree ... played on the 2007 San Diego All-Star Senior Team ... three-year team captain ... played on varsity as a freshman, earning the Most Improved award ... three-time all-tournament team selection ... also earned San Diego Union Tribune All-Academic accolades for three seasons ... named to the Honor Roll all four years ... one of three School Ambassadors, voted on by teachers to serve as role models and peer counselors...in addition to her high school,Malia was also a member of the Epic Volleyball Club as well as the USA Youth A2 Team in 2006 & 2007.

A communication major... parents are Peter (CPA) and Betty Ann Marquardt of Vista, Calif... comes from an athletic family... father played football at UCLA, mother swam for UNLV, had four brothers play collegiate football, Brian (32) played for Weber State, Daniel (29) for BYU, Michael (28) for ASU and Josh (22) for BYU... also enjoys surfing, beach volleyball and Polynesian dance... born May 23, 1990 in Escondido, Calif.
