- Played in 96 total sets for the Sun Devils during the 2016 campaign.
- Notched 218 kills in the 2016 season, the fourth most for the Sun Devils.
- Finished with 25 total blocks, including 7 solo blocks.
- Scored her 1,000 career kill against Oregon on Oct. 30, and finished with 1,092 total kills in her career.
- Posted a career high 24 kills against Washington State on Oct. 19 on .477 attacking.
- Recorded a season high 16 digs, totaling 123 during the 2016 season.
- In 2015, McClendon posted a season-high 17 kills in Louisville's NCAA Tournament opening round match against Illinois.
- She made appearances in 28 of the Cardinals' 32 matches in 2015.
- The 2013 AAC Freshman of the Year.
- McClendon earned six ACC Freshman of the Year honors that season, the most in conference history.
- She notched 330+ kills in her freshman and sophomore seasons to lead the Cardinals, and posted a career high 21 kills against Appalachian State in 2014.
High School:
- Played both volleyball and lacrosse.
- McClendon was an AAU All-American from 2006-13, and a member of the 2012 USA Junior National Team.
Personal:
The daughter of Roger and Suzanne McClendon, Maya has one sister, Deja, and two brothers, Marquis and Jordan. Her father played basketball at the University of Cincinnati, while her older sister was an All-American who played volleyball at Penn State from 2010-13. McClendon is majoring in psychology, with a minor in biological sciences.
