2011 (Sophomore):
Continued to contribute as outside hitter for ASU, recording 178 kills for the season for a .123 hitting percentage... Also had 22 blocks on the year, with three solo and 19 assists...Had career-best 17 kills against Southern Miss in the Iowa State Challenge on Sept. 3...best hitting percentage came against USC on Oct. 8, where she hit .385 on the night...Was named to Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team for the 2011 year.
2010 (Freshman):
Had immediate impact for the Sun Devils, playing in 103 sets as a freshman...Demonstrated her versatility finishing second on the team with 284 kills, third on the team in points with 314.5, collecting 109 digs, and 38 blocks...had a big game vs. Dayton Aug. 28, exploding for 12 kills and seven digs...had another big effort Sep. 26 against #6 CAL with 12 kills...and a career game against #13 Oregon on Oct. 8, posting 16 kills...was also recognized for her outstanding work throughout her first season, receiving 2010 Pac-10 All-Freshman Honorable Mention.
High School:
A 2010 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School in Pleasant Grove, Utah... a four-time letter winner in volleyball as well as one in track & field for the PGHS Vikings... captained the Vikings for three years... a high ranked recruit for the incoming 2010 class in the nation, Mendivil was named Utah Gatorade Player of the Year (09-10) as well as All-Region Team in 2008 and 2009 and MVP for the 2009-2010 year... helped lead her teams to the State Championships in 2008 and 2009 as well as an Open Championship for the 2009 club season with her club, Utah Elite... hit 1.00 as a freshman... an excellent student as well, Mendivil posted a 3.98 GPA in high school and was named to the High Honor Roll... lists winning a state championship and taking second at the Junior Olympics as her most exciting moment in sports.
