GRADUATE (2023)
- Finishes her Sun Devil Career with 167 hits, 154 runs scored 105 RBIs, 44 doubles, 35 home runs and 76 walks while bolstering a .363 batting average for her career.
- Had two straight seasons with a batting average of .400 or higher.
- Ranks eighth in program history with 44 career doubles. 11th in program history with a .363 batting average and 15th in home runs.
- Appeared in 191 games in her career while starting the last 102 games of her Sun Devil Career.
- Named NFCA Second Team All-American for the second straight year.
- Named Pac-12 All-Conference First-Team for the second straight year.
- Named as a CSC All-Academic All-American for the second straight season.
- Tallied 17 multi-hit games in her final year as a Sun Devil.

SENIOR (2022)
- Set career highs in hits (64), runs (63), home runs (14), doubles (19), RBIs (43), and batting average (.430).
- Led the team in hits, runs, doubles and batting average for the season.
- Ranked second on the team in slugging percentage (.852) and on-base percentage (.562) for the second straight year.
- Named Softball America’s NCAA most improved player for the 2022 season.
- Acuña's .430 batting average was seventh best in program history, along with her 19 doubles which tied a program record.

- One of three players on the team to start all 54 games last season for The Sun Devils.
- One of three players name to the Pac-12 All-Conference First-Team.
- Named Pac-12 Player of the Week on March 28th, her first career honor.
- Named to the NFCA All-America second-team.
- Named to the coSIDA Academic All-America Third Team.
- Had her first two home run game of her career against BYU on 3/10.
- Had a season best eight-game hitting streak which included a season-best three hits against San Diego State in the Tempe Regional on 5/21.
- Started 26 out of 36 games in her junior campaign.
- Ranked second on the team in slugging percentage (.676) and on-base percentage (.452).
- Career highs in batting average (.311) and home runs (7).
- Had a season best three RBIs against Oregon on 5/1 where she went 2-3 with a HR.
- Started seven of the thirteen games she played during the shortened season
- Opened the season on Mar. 7 with a home run against Kansas
- Had five runs and two RBIs on three hits for the season
- Finished the season with a .923 fielding percentage
Freshman (2019)
- Acuña was a regular in the ASU lineup during 2019, appearing in mainly the DP spot in her 40 games played.
- The dangerous Acuña showed power at the plate through her freshman campaign, connecting on 12 extra-base hits including three homers on the season.
- Hit her first collegiate home run on February 9th against Weber State, and connected on her first collegiate grand slam against Stanford on April 26th.
- Ended her first season of college softball with a .271 batting average, with 23 hits in her 84 plate-appearances.

Acuña, a versatile outfielder from Tucson, Ariz., signed with ASU following a productive three seasons with Salpointe Catholic high school and the Arizona Thundercats. In just her first year of high school softball, Acuña earned Freshman of the Year recognition. She is also a three-time All-Section First Team selection. She has twice been named her team's Offensive MVP, an honor voted on by her teammates. Last season, she was named the 2017 Player of the Year.
Personal
Acuña, the daughter of Maria Pesqueira has two sisters, Yannixa and Yahaira. Upon enrolling at ASU, she plans to explore the vast options ASU has to offer before deciding on an area of study. When she is not playing softball, Yannira enjoys cooking and spending time with her sisters. Acuña chose ASU over offers from Grand Canyon and New Mexico State. Yannira said she was drawn to ASU by the coaching staff, as well as being able to play close to home.
