Junior (2017):
- Made 44 appearances, including 12 starts, in the 2017 season
- Recorded eight runs on four hits on the season, including four RBI
- Ended the season with a .314 slugging percentage, a mark that ranks eighth highest among returning players
- Showed patience at the plate, drawing seven walks in her 35 at-bats through the season
Sophomore (2016):
- Is 4-for-5 as a pinch hitter this season.
- Leads the team's reserves with a .367 average this season and has the largest slugging percentage on the team at .800 with six of her 11 hits going for extra bases.
- Knocked a two-run bomb in extra innings in the first game of the Cal series.
- Had a clutch pinch-hit solo home run in Game Two against Texas Tech, tying the game and setting the table for the walk-off victory.
- Was impressive at the Littlewood Classic, going 3-for-6 with four RBI.
- Went 1-for-2 with her first collegiate home home run against Montana (2/21), a three-run shot that blew open a 9-2 game.
- Hit her first career triple with the bases loaded in her first career start as a designated hitter against San Diego (2/14).
Freshman (2015):
- Appeared in 52 games, scoring 14 times.
- Went 1-for-1 with a walk and three runs batted in against Binghamton on Feb. 28.
- Was primarily used as a pinch runner in the 2015 season.
High School:
- An All-State Underclass second-team selection as a junior who made the jump to first-team All-State after leading the Esperanza Aztecs to a 23-5 record, a fourth-straight Century League title and a berth in the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs.
- The Arizona State-bound third-sacker was also a first-team selection on both the OC Varsity and OC Sidelines All-Orange County teams.
- She batted .443 with eight home runs, 10 doubles, two triples, 30 runs scored, 25 RBIs and eight stolen bases.
- Was named to Softball West Magazine's Best in the West Top-100 list as a senior.
- Named to the All-CIF Southern Section first team as a senior

Batting right handed, Steele had a .453 batting average as a junior that rocketed to .527 in league play, where she also knocked six home runs while breaking the school's triple record with four on the season.

Was named her team's offensive player of the year and the Century League MVP for the effort on her way to earning All-State California second team honors and CIF Division I first team accolades.

As a sophomore, Steele earned second team All-League honors while also being named her squad's defensive MVP.
Personal:
Steele plans to major in communications at Arizona State. The daughter of Dennis and Taran Steele, Brynley's sister was a Division I softball player at Charleston Southern while her brother currently plays football at Fullerton Junior College. She played for Phil Harman & Lynn Christensen for the California Cruisers in travel ball and Ed Tunstall for the Aztecs.
