Junior (2013):
Tied career highs in every category prior to the start of the Pac-12 Conference games. Had three hits, one homer and two runs scored against Boise State, Feb. 10. Alternating as starting catcher for Mackenzie Popescue and designated hitter. Tied her game high of three RBI against Stanford on April 6 and by the end of the regular season had a season best five home runs. Played in ASU's second game of the WCWS as the designated player against Michigan. Finished the year with a .313 batting average, 12 runs, 30 hits and five homers.
Sophomore (2012):
Worked into the rotation as the No. 2 catcher, starting in 22 of 33 games played. Connected for 15 hits, scored seven runs and had a personal season-high best three home runs on the year. Finished the season with a .400 slugging percentage, .351 on-base percentage and 15 RBI. Named Second Team Pac-12 All-Academic (June 5).
Freshman (2011):
Returned for freshman year after redshirting the previous season and had an immediate impact on the team, coming in at catcher in relief for 17 games. Scored one run on the year off with three hits, one of which was a double for a total of four bases. Drove in three RBI on the year as well.
High School:
Coming off a landmark career at Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Ariz. where she captained the Mountain Lions both her junior and senior years while lettering three times in softball. Included in her accolades as a top-notch catcher, Lucy was named to the 2008 All-State Team and the 2009 Athlete of the Year as well as collecting EV Region First-Team Honors 2007-2009. Outside of her high school team, Lucy also was a member of the Killer Bees and AZ Hotshots Gold Club teams where she was named Outstanding Club RIF Member. Lucy lists placing 5th in the 2007 ASA Nationals and finishing as a runner-up state finalist in 2009 as her most exciting moment in sports.
Personal:
The geography (meteorology) major was born in Phoenix, Ariz., to Patricia and Joseph Aubrecht of Mesa, Ariz. She is the youngest of three with two older sisters, Emily and Jessica. Her full name is Lucille Jade Aubrecht. Hobbies include traveling and pranking.
