CAREER NOTES
- ASU’s most experienced player in the midfield (52 career games/31 starts), Lara will return for a fifth year in 2016 (redshirted as a freshman in 2012).
- Has earned reputation as a playmaker with her ability to set up teammates for scoring opportunities (has 11 career assists and holds the school’s single-game record for most assists – 3 vs. Pepperdine in 2015).
- Career scoring totals include four goals and 11 assists for 19 points.
- In the summer of 2014, was one of 21 players invited to participate in the Mexico women’s national team’s training camp.
- Earned her undergraduate degree in Communications in December 2015 and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Sports Business and Law.
- Earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention honors in 2015.
2015
- Started all 17 games she played in and led the team in assists (6) and scored a single-season, career-high three goals.
- Tied for third in the Pac-12 in assists (6) and was second in the Pac-12 in assists per game (0.35).
- Scored goals in ASU’s contests vs. UNLV (Aug. 28), at Oklahoma State (Sept. 18) and vs. Oregon State (Jan. 23). The goal vs. UNLV represented her first career game-winning goal.
- Set the single-game school record with three assists in ASU’s 5-0 win over No. 14 Pepperdine in a game played in Tucson (Sept. 11).
- Accounted for single-game, career high three points on two occasions: vs. UNLV (Aug. 28/1 goal and 1 assist) and vs. Pepperdine (Sept. 11/3 assists).
- Assisted on the last goal of Cali Farquharson’s career (44th career goal) in the second half of ASU’s 4-1 win at Arizona (Nov. 6).
- Earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention honors.
2014
- Played in all 22 games with 13 starting assignments in the Sun Devil midfield.
- Assisted on the first of teammate McKenzie Berryhill’s two goals in season opening 2-2 tie vs. Texas (Aug. 22).
- Assisted on the first of teammate Cali Farquharson’s two goals in win at Loyola Chicago (Aug. 31).
- Scored the first goal of her career in win vs. Oklahoma State (Sept. 5).
- Assisted on the second of Farquharson’s two goals in win at Utah (Nov. 2).
2013
- Returned from knee injury that sidelined her in 2012 and played in 13 games, including one start.
- Recorded assists in ASU’s game at Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 1) and at Cal (Oct. 4).
- Started first game of her career at Oregon State (Oct. 13).
- Recorded 10 shots (2 SOG).
2012
- Redshirted after suffering a knee injury prior to the season.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
- A 2012 graduate of Hamilton High School (Chandler, Ariz).
- Played club soccer for Sereno.
- Was member of state's ODP program.
- Member of the Mexican Youth National Program
- In 2010, traveled with U-17 Mexican National Team to Pre World Cup and placed second.
- In 2012, traveled to China with the Full Mexican National Team. Also traveled to Panama for the CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship.
