- Set a new ASU record and the then-fastest time in the NCAA in the 200 breast at the Texas Invitational (Nov. 29-Dec. 2)

- Honorable Mention All-American in 200 medley relay (with Reid Elliott, Andrew Porter, Patrick Park) and 400 medley relay (with Zach Poti, Andrew Porter, and Cameron Craig)
- Swam ASU's fastest 100 breast and 200 breast and 7 of the top-10 times in the 100 and 5 of the top-10 times in the 200

Junior (2016-17)
- Honorable Mention All-American for 200 and 400 medley relay

- Won 100 breast vs. Stanford (Jan. 20) and at BYU (Oct. 22)
- Won 200 breast at BYU (Oct. 22), vs. Denver (Oct. 29), at USC (Nov. 4), vs. Stanford (Jan. 20), at Arizona (Feb. 4)
- CSCAA First Team Scholar All-American
Sophomore (2015-16)
- Swam in the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials, finishing 22nd in the 200 breast and 35th in the 100 breast
- Competed in his first NCAA Championships, placing 25th at in the 200 breast & 28th in teh 100 breast
- Podium'd at the Pac-12 Championships with a 3rd-place finish in the 200 breast
- Helped the Devils defeat Arizona for first time since 2002 with victories in the 100 & 200 breast
- At the 2015 Art Adamson Invite, placed 3rd in the 200 breast & 4th in the 100 breast
- Started his sophomore season on a hot streak, winning five of his first seven events between the 100 and 200 breaststroke
Freshman (2014-15)
- In his first Pac-12 Championship, placed 8th in the 100 breaststroke & 10th in 200 breaststroke
- Picked up big win in the 200 breaststroke against Cal on Jan. 23, 2015
- Earned his first collegiate victory against UNLV in the 100 & 200 breaststroke on Dec. 6, 2014
- Placed 2nd in the 200 IM against USC on Nov. 14, 2014
- Finished 3rd in his first collegiate event, the 200 breaststroke, against Wisconsin on Oct. 3, 2014

Personal
Christian is the son of Vernon and Julie Lorenz. He has one sister, Sarah, who swam for ASU in 2012.
