Junior (2015-2016)
• Represented ASU on the record breaking 3rd place 400-yard freestyle relay at the 2016 Pac 12 Championships
• Qualified for the 2016 United States Olympic Trials• 200 backstroke record holder with a time of 1:41.84.
• 200Y 4th Place finish in the 2016 NCAA Men's Championship
• Qualified for 2016 Olympic Trials
• Broke ASU 800 men's freestyle relay record that was set in 2000
Sophomore (2014-2015)
• Swam a career-best time in the 200 back in a dual meet against Arizona with a time of 1:44.02.
Freshman (2013-2014)
• Placed 10th in the 200 backstroke (1.44.44) at the 2014 Pac 12 Championships
• Placed 16th in the 200 freestyle (1.36.58) at the 2014 Pac 12 Championships
• Represented ASU on the 800 freestyle relay at the 2014 Pac 12 Championships
Personal
Born in Spokane, Washington. Father, Dustin Perry, coached Barkley when he swam for Tigers Aquatic Club. Outside of the pool Barkley enjoys playing basketball, football and ultimate frisbee. Graduated with a B.S. in Justice Studies in 2017.
