• Swam a career-best time of 1:37.54 in the 200 free against Arizona
Freshman (2013-2014)
• Competed on all of the ASU freestyle relays at the 2014 Pac 12 Championships
• Helped ASU to a 4th place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay at the 2014 Pac 12 Championships
Personal
Thomaz was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Pedro Tavares and Claudia Xavier Brito Martins. Currently majoring in business. Martins adds huge depth to the mid–distance free group at ASU. When out of the pool Thomaz enjoys playing soccer with his brother, Miguel.
