Shot a course record 11-under-61 in the second round of club championships at Simola in 2010, following a 2-under-70 giving him a 19-stroke victory. Qualified for the only spot in the SA amateur 2011 and finished top-30 in stroke play but was knocked out in the second round. Highest ranking of 18th in South Africa at the end of junior career.
