SUN DEVIL DATA
Earned a scholarship in 2010-11 and played some key minutes in middle of year as Jamelle McMillan was battling injury. Had a huge role in win over Tulsa on Jan. 12 as he played career-high 35 minutes and had four assists and two steals. Saw action in nine games. Also played 15 minutes vs. California on Jan. 8 and 15 at Washington State on Jan. 20. Averaged 18.8 minutes per game in four-game stretch from Jan. 8-20.

IN HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year starter for Sheldon High School from 2005-2009...excellent student-athlete who was a first-team All-Delta League selection and was a Sacramento Area Metro team pick in his junior and senior seasons...as a captain in just his sophomore year, he led the Huskies to the school's first and only Sac Joaquin Section championship, averaging 13.5 points and 4.7 assists...severe mid-season injury slowed him in his senior season, but he concluded the year as the league's assist leader at 6.3 per game while averaging 15.5 points...also shot 80 percent from the foul line and 52 percent from the field in his senior year.

ACADEMICALLY
An aerospace engineering major who is a member of ASU's Barrett Honors College...graduated eighth in his Sheldon class of more than 500 with a grade point average of 4.23...a national achievement scholar and was voted top male athlete by Sheldon staff in senior year.

Jackson...born July Feb. 24, 1991, was born in Salem, Ore....father Robert Jackson graduated from Syracuse University College of Law and is a San Francisco health care attorney who played basketball for Southern Illinois (1964-68)...mother Shawn graduated from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and is a former reporter...has two younger brothers, Caleb and David, and a younger sister, Jessyca...also an accomplished golfer while in high school.
