Southpaw who was ranked as high as No. 26 (Rivals.com) in the final rankings for the Class of 2010 who is extremely efficient with his right hand as well. Coached by Gary McKnight at Mater Dei. Saw time at four positions in ASU's system in freshman season (2010-11), including point guard. Posted 26 points and 26 rebounds in Feb. 23, 2010 game against Los Alamitos in senior year. Played sophomore and junior years at Dominguez, where his team beat Mater Dei in a CIF Final when he was a sophomore. High school teammate at Mater Dei with Tyler Lamb (UCLA) and Gary Franklin (California signee now at Baylor).
FRESHMAN SEASON (2010-11)
Posted three double-digit scoring games in freshman year, as he had 13 in Alaska vs. Houston Baptist (Nov. 25) and then had 10 in Feb. 19 vs. Washington State. Also had 14 in homecoming game at Galen Center vs. USC on Feb. 26. In final six games of the year he averaged 6.8 points in 13.8 minutes. He was 14-of-17 (.824) from the free throw stripe in those tilts. He started the year 16-of-38 (.421) from the charity stripe.

Helped lead team to 30-2 record in senior year that included a 25-game winning streak as he averaged 16 points, a team-high 10 boards and four assists...had a dozen 20-point games in senior year...posted three straight 20 point-games vs. JSerra Catholic (20 on Feb. 4), 21 vs. Bishop Gorman (Feb. 6) and 22 vs. Long Beach Jordan (Feb. 19)...had 24 vs. Orange Lutheran on Jan. 29...21 vs. Norwalk on Dec. 2 and 23 vs. La Habra on Dec. 28...also had 23 vs. Rancho Verde twice on Feb. 26 and March 11...school-record 26 rebounds and 26 points led Mater Dei to an 80-60 victory over Los Alamitos in a CIF-Southern Section Division 1AA quarterfinal playoff game. The 26 rebounds surpassed the 25 rebounds two-time CIF player of the year Tom Lewis had against Dominguez of Compton in the 1984-85 season...first-team All-Orange County.
