CONFERENCE PLAY
  • Through 24 games played in conference this year, Shlaine tallied the second-most points, just one shy of the lead, with 31 total points.
  • The graduate center boasts 31 points and 14 goals (in conference play) - both marks set the pace for the NCHC for the majority of the year but fell just one shy of the lead by the end of the regular season.
  • He ranks in the top-10 of goals, goals per game, assists, assists per game, points, points per game, shot percentage, faceoff wins, faceoff percentage, and shorthanded goals in conference play.
  • With the most time on ice out of ASU’s forward, Shlaine’s kept a clean penalty sheet with only 14 penalty minutes through 28 overall games played.
  • Shlaine led the NCHC in points through the month of January with 18
  • Shlaine continued his special teams success in January with one power play goal and two shorthanded. He scored his second shorthanded goal of the year at Miami to close out the month of January. Both of his lamplighters on Saturday vs. North Dakota were scored on special teams - one on the power play and one shorthanded. There are only four skaters in ASU history who have tallied a shorthanded goal and a power play goal in the same game (two occurred in 2024-25):

  • Shlaine recorded his fourth multi-goal game of the season and sixth of his career in Saturday's game at Minnesota Duluth.
  • He set a single game career high on Saturday night at St. Cloud State with four points from one goal and three assists. Three games later, he reached the feat again with a four-point night at Miami (1G, 3A).
  • Awarded NCHC Forward of the Week in Week 8 of conference play 
OVERALL SEASON
  • His finished the regular season with 34 points heading into the NCHC playoffs and postseason. His career season high for points is 32 which he recorded in his first season at Northern Michigan (2022-23).
  • At the conclusion of the regular season, Shlaine led the Sun Devils in shot percentage with 20.3 percent.
  • In 28 games played and 34 points this season, Shlaine is over a point per game skater at 1.21 points per game.
  • At the dot, Shlaine is one of the top faceoff specialists in the NCHC. He is second in the NCHC in faceoff wins during conference play and seventh overall with 312 through 28 games played. He has the most wins in the fewest games among all NCHC skaters. His 55 percent success rate ranks 14th in the NCHC.

  • His 13 assists also ranked first in the NCHC
  • His two shorthanded goals (scored vs. North Dakota and at Miami) led all skaters in the NCHC

  • Led the NCHC in faceoff wins with 93 through nine games played for an average 10.33 wins per game
  • Put up a massive month in January with 18 points in 10 games played. He finished +3 three times, scored 2SHG, 1PPG, and 1EN
  • With four points on Friday night at Miami, he extended his point scoring streak to seven games, which is tied for the second-longest point scoring streak in program history. The streak ended the next night after Shlaine was stretchered off the ice. He boasts 16 points during the streak which is the most points in seven consecutive games by a Sun Devil in program history:

SENIOR (2023-24, at Northern Michigan)
  • CCHA Scholar-Athlete Team member
  • Earned CCHA Forward of the Week on Nov. 13, 2023 after scoring a hat-trick and two assists in two games against LSSU 
  • Recorded his first career collegiate hat-trick against LSSU on Nov. 10, 2023, also recording the game-winning goal
  • Had two goals, one assist, two power play goals, and the game-winning goal in a 4-1 win against Michigan Tech on Feb. 2, 2024
  • Skated in 27 games before a season ending injury
  • Led the Wildcats with 10 goals and seven power play goals, second on the team in points with 23
  • Led the Wildcats with 315 faceoff wins and led the CCHA 58.8 faceoff percentage
JUNIOR (2022-23, at Northern Michigan)
  • Played in all 38 games for the Wildcats
  • Recorded 11 goals and 21 assists for 32 points, good for second on the team in points, including four power play goals, one short handed goal, and one game winning goal
  • Finished third on the team in shots with 86 and fifth with a +5 plus/minus and 16 blocks
SOPHOMORE (2021-22, at UConn)

  • Posted 17 points with seven goals and ten assists.

FRESHMAN (2020-21, at UConn)
  • Appeared in all 23 games. Had nine points on the season, scoring one goal and assisting on eight.
