FRESHMAN (2019)
- One of 32 freshmen to appear in a game on the season, a total tied for third in the nation
- Appeared in the first game of the season and will retain his eligibility as a redshirt freshman in 2020
- Starred on both sides of the ball during his final season at Saguaro High School after earning a spot on the radar of college scouts playing on just the defensive side of the ball as a junior.
- Member of a Sabercats program that won back-to-back AIA 4A State Championships, compiling a 25-3 record in the two-year span he was part of the varsity squad.
- Ran through Arizona High School competition, going undefeated during his two varsity seasons.
- Consensus three-star prospect amongst the major recruiting services…rated as the No. 62 safety prospect nationally and the No. 22 overall prospect in the state of Arizona by ESPN…ranked as the No. 105 athlete prospect in the country and the No. 24 overall prospect in the state by 24/7 Sports Composite Rankings…Rivals listed him as the No. 17 overall prospect in the state.
- 2018 Arizona Football Coaches Association Big 25 Selection as one of the top four linebackers in the state regardless of division.
- 2018 AZFCA All-6A First Team selection at linebacker as part of one of the state’s best defenses.
- Served several roles on the offensive side of the football, producing as both a running back and receiver and showed off the athleticism that has coaches at the next level intrigued by returning a pair of punts for a touchdown during his senior season…also a part of the Saguaro Track & Field team.
- One of five finalists for the 2018 Ed Doherty Award, given annually to the top player in the state of Arizona.
- Finished his varsity defensive career with 256 total tackles, 45.5 tackles for loss, nine sacks, eight interceptions, and 13 passes defended.
- Did a little bit of everything on both sides of the ball for the Sabercats as a senior in 2018, producing one of the state’s best all-around seasons…collected 121 total tackles, 23.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and three interceptions…rushed 19 times for 279 yards (14.7 yards/carry) with five touchdowns, including a touchdown run of 80 yards...caught 11 passes for 272 yards (24.7 yards/catch) and two touchdowns…finished with 1,327 all-purpose yards (378 punt return, 333 kick return, 279 rushing, 272 receiving, and 65 interception return).
- Made his presence felt immediately during his first full year on varsity, making 132 total tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and five interceptions
- Younger brother of current Sun Devil redshirt freshman linebacker Kyle Soelle, who made an impact this season by forcing a pair of fumbles
