Junior (2019)
- Started all 13 games at the Tillman safety position
- Finished second on the team with an incredible 83 tackles from the secondary
- Added 4.5 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, and two interceptions during his breakout junior season
- Reached the double-digit tackle mark on two occasions, including a career-best 13 tackles in Arizona State’s upset road victory over No. 18 Michigan State
- Contributed in many ways vs. USC, recovering a fumble and picking off a pass
- Showed up big in the Territorial Cup game against Arizona, collecting 10 tackles
- Picked off his second pass of the season in a key situation in the Sun Bowl victory over Florida State
- Made at least one tackle in all 13 games
- Evan Fields had 23 total defensive “stops” last season, a total that was tied for second among safeties in the Pac-12.
