  • Earned his Master’s degree in Sports Law and Business in December 2015

  • Served as the team’s holder on field goals and extra points from 2013-14 for kicker Zane Gonzalez, who was a Groza Award semifinalist in both seasons

  • Threw for 418 yards and four touchdowns in the Motel 6 Cactus Bowl (1/2), tying the ASU bowl record for touchdown passes
  • Finished 23-of-35 for 283 yards and three touchdowns with an interception against Cal Poly (9/12)
  • Went 22-for-37 for 317 yards and three touchdowns against New Mexico (9/18)
  • Matched a career high with five touchdown passes against Colorado (10/10) on 20-of-31 passing for 260 yards while rushing for a career high 40 yards
  • Had another five-touchdown effort against Oregon (10/29), tying Taylor Kelly for second all-time at ASU with three games with 5 or more touchdown passes (Andrew Walter holds the record with four), and finished the game 32-of-53 for 398 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions while also rushing for an 18-yard score

REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2014):

  • Started three games while starter Taylor Kelly was injured
  • His 998 passing yards in his first two career starts are an NCAA record
  • Finished the year with 1,445 passing yards and 12 touchdowns
  • Saw playing time against Weber State (8/28), finishing 6-for-12 for 65 yards with a touchdown
  • Made his first career start at UCLA (9/25), setting school records for completions and attempts going 42-of-68 for 488 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions
  • His 488 yards were the most by a Sun Devil quarterback in his first career start and the fifth highest total among all games in program history
  • Became the first player in history to throw for 5 touchdowns against USC (10/4) and his 510 total passing yards in the game were the second highest total against the Trojans in USC history as he finished 25-of-45 for 510 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions
  • Completed 23-of-33 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown against Stanford (10/18)
  • Replaced Taylor Kelly in the second half against Arizona and finished 14 of 22 for 123 yards, two touchdowns and an interception (11/28)

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2013):

  • Saw playing time in four games this year as QB and as the holder on special teams
  • Rushed for 39 yards and passed for 23 against Colorado
  • Ended the season with a Quarterback Efficiency Rating of 112.8

SOPHOMORE (2012):
