- One of the premier safeties in the West region and an incredible student-athlete, he reportedly carries a 4.0 GPA.
- Participated in the Semper Fi All-American game after his senior season.
- Rated the No. 34 safety recruit in the country by ESPN; listed by Scout.com as the No. 45 safety prospect in the nation; regarded by Rivals.com as the No. 56 safety recruit in the nation and the No. 79 overall prospect in the state of California.
- Was a team captain as a senior while posting 67 tackles, four interceptions and one fumble recovery as a junior in 2011.
- Chose ASU over reported scholarship offers from Colorado, Fresno State, Hawaii, Ohio and San Jose State and Pac-12 foes Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington. Verbally committed to ASU on Dec. 3, 2012.
