2009: Started five games, including three at right tackle and two at right guard, before injury cut his season short...started at right tackle against Idaho State, Stanford and Oregon, and at right guard vs. Louisiana-Monroe and Georgia.

High School...played offensive guard and defensive tackle at Helena High School...likely to play offensive line at the college level...selected as the Gatorade Player of the Year in Montana...recognized as the top player in the state of Montana by Sports Illustrated...earned first-team All-Conference and first-team All-State recognition at offensive guard as a senior, and was named second-team All-Conference and honorable mention All-State at defensive tackle...earned Academic All-State honors and was presented with Helena's "Hog Award"...as a senior, helped guide Helena to an 8-3 record an a playoff semifinals appearance while recording 71 tackles (31) solo tackles, 17 quarterback hurries, five sacks and four pass deflections as a defensive lineman...earned first-team All-Conference honors and second-team All-State honors at offensive line as a sophomore...at the Nike Combine in Eugene, Ore., in June, he posted a camp-best 4.38 shuttle run among all defensive ends, and tied the camp-best for his position, recording a 28-inch vertical leap...originally committed to play at Montana before switching to ASU...coached by Tony Arnston at Helena High School.
