ASU: Five-year member of the Sun Devil football team...four-year letterman...converted tight end played in 40 career games, starting 28...appeared in 24 games as an offensive lineman, starting 19...made five career receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown as a tight end...named 2010-11 Hard Hat Program Champion in the spring...graduated in spring of 2011 with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice.

2011: Started all 13 games at offensive tackle...earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 honors...started four games at left tackle and nine at right tackle.

2010: Started the first four games of the season along with the final two at left tackle...played in every game except Oregon State.

2009: Started seven games at tight end and appeared in 10...had two catches for 11 yards on the season...made a 9-yard grab Nov. 11 against USC...started six consecutive games from Sept. 5 to Oct. 17.

2008: Played in six games at tight end, including two starts, as a redshirt freshman...had three receptions for 29 yards and one touchdown on the season...made his collegiate debut in season-opening win over NAU on Aug. 30...had a two-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter of victory over Stanford on Sept. 6, his first career reception and touchdown...made his first start and had a 19-yard reception against UNLV on Sept. 13...caught one pass for eight yards at No. 8 USC on Oct. 11, but suffered a season-ending injury in that same game.

2007: Redshirted as a member of ASU's scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Reno (Nev.) High School...ranked as the No. 8 player in the state of Nevada and the state's top tight end by Rivals.com...named to Scout.com's 2006 Nevada All-State Team...during his career at Reno High School, he totaled 45 catches for 750 yards (16.7 ypc.) and 10 touchdowns...earned first-team All-League, All-Region and All-State honors...as a senior, he caught 25 passes for 345 yards (13.8 ypc.) and five touchdowns...lettered in football and track at Reno High...chose ASU over Boise State, Fresno State, Nevada and Oregon State...coached by Dan Avansino at Reno High School.

PERSONAL: A graduate student...parents are Steve Knapp and Shannon Okeefe of Reno, Nev....has two siblings...father, Steve played linebacker at the University of Nevada...enjoys skiing, hunting, fishing, biking and playing basketball...born Sept. 1, 1988...full name is Dan Justin Knapp.
