ASU: Talented wide receiver with great speed...played in 19 games, including three starts...finished his career with 10 receptions for 196 yards (19.6 avg.) and two touchdowns, including one in the 2006 Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl...missed entire senior season due to injury...graduated with a B.I.S. degree in interdisciplinary studies.

2010: Appeared in seven games this season, starting one of them...made one catch for nine yards...selected to play in the Eastham Energy All-Star Game in Tempe, Ariz...was granted an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA after suffering an injury in 2009.

2009: Suffered a season-ending injury in fall camp, causing him to miss the entire year.

2008: Played in one game as a reserve wide receiver, catching three passes for 20 yards against Oregon on Oct. 25.

2007: Did not see game action.

2006: Appeared in 11 games, starting two (Washington State, Hawai'i)...totaled six catches for 167 yards and two touchdowns...averaged a team-high 27.8 yards-per-catch...in his first career start, he caught three passes for 102 yards (34.0 avg.) and a touchdown against Washington State on Nov. 11, becoming the first Sun Devil freshman wide receiver to surpass 100 receiving yards in a game since former Detroit Lion and Sun Devil wide receiver Shaun McDonald did so in 2000...his 62-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Rudy Carpenter was the longest completed pass for the Sun Devils during the 2006 season...caught two passes for 28 yards against UCLA on Nov. 18...made a 37-yard touchdown reception as a starter in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl against Hawai'i on Dec. 25.

2005: Redshirted as a member of ASU's scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of West High School in Bakersfield, Calif....pre- and postseason all-region selection by PrepStar Magazine...listed as the No. 72 player in the FarWest by SuperPrep...rated the No. 60 wide receiver prospect in the nation by Rivals.com...listed as the No. 65 player in the state of California by Rivals.com (all positions)...listed as the No. 93 player in the West Hot 100 by Scout.com...member of The Tacoma News Tribune's "Western 100" list...named first-team all-area and second-team all-league...as a senior, had 41 receptions for 700 yards and 12 touchdowns...also had two kickoff returns and one punt return for touchdowns...very fast and athletic, a deep ball threat and projected by some as a kick return specialist...runs a 10.6 100-meters and sports a 36-inch vertical jump...coached by Rich Cornford.

PERSONAL: Graduated from Arizona State in 2010 with a BIS degree...parents are Willy Smith and Velma Hopkins of Bakersfield, Calif....lists the day he signed with ASU as his most exciting sports experience...enjoys working with kids and playing dominoes...born in February of 1987 in Bakersfield, Calif....full name is Brandon Eugene Smith.
