ASU: Well-rounded running back who played in 37 games during his Sun Devil career...totaled 106 carries for 468 yards (4.4 avg.) and 19 receptions for 199 yards (10.5 avg.) and two touchdown catches in his career...has excellent size and was considered ASU's best pass blocking running back over the last two years...redshirted during the 2007 season...had 110 rushing yards against Oregon State on Nov. 1, 2008, making him the 81st player in ASU history to have a 100-yard rushing game.

2009: Played in all 12 games as a reserve running back and on special teams...carried the ball 15 times for 66 yards (4.4 avg.) and had one reception for 15 yards on the season...led the Sun Devils with 52 yards on eight carries (6.5 avg.) in team's season-opening victory over Idaho State on Sept. 5...had two carries for six yards against Oregon State on Oct. 3...ran for seven yards on two carries and had a 15-yard reception against California on Oct. 31...had three carries for one yard at No. 14 Oregon on Nov. 14.

2008: Played in 10 games, starting four at running back...totaled 283 rushing yards on 62 carries (4.4 avg.) and caught nine passes for 77 yards (8.6 avg.) on the season...saw his first game action since the 2006 Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl on Sept. 6 against Stanford, getting one carry and recording two catches for 19 yards in the victory...rushed for 48 yards on 13 carries (3.7 avg.) and had a 20-yard reception against UNLV on Sept. 13...had two rushing attempts and one catch against No. 3 Georgia on Sept. 20...ran three times for 12 yards and had two receptions for four yards at California on Oct. 4...rushed for 15 yards on four carries and had an 11-yard reception against Oregon on Oct. 25...had the Sun Devils' first 100-yard rushing game of the season, totaling 110 yards on 16 carries (6.9 avg.) while getting his first start of the year at Oregon State on Nov. 1...also had the team's longest run from scrimmage of the season in that game against the Beavers, a career-long 54-yard scamper in the fourth quarter...started the next three games as well...ran for 47 yards on 12 carries (3.9 avg.) and had his season-best 22-yard reception in win at Washington on Nov. 8...had five carries for 30 yards and one catch in victory over Washington State on Nov. 15.

2007: Redshirted...received the team's McBurney Scout Team Player of the Year Award at the year-end banquet.

2006: Played in 10 games with one start, coming against Hawai'i in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl...totaled 23 carries for 95 yards (4.1 avg.)...caught nine passes for 107 yards (11.9 avg.) and two touchdowns...carried six times for 34 yards and caught three passes for 58 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown reception, in the season opener against Northern Arizona on Aug. 31...caught a 22-yard touchdown pass against Nevada on Sept. 9...totaled 27 yards on six carries at No. 21 California on Sept. 23...carried three times for 17 yards and caught two passes for 35 yards in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl against Hawai'i, his first career start...exploded for 121 rushing yards, 21 receiving yards and a touchdown reception in the spring game...earned Hard Hat Player recognition for his work in the team's winter strength and conditioning program.

2005: Played in five games as a true freshman...had six carries for 24 yards (4.0 avg.)...had three carries for 13 yards against Northwestern and three carries for 11 yards at Oregon State.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Doherty High School in Colorado Springs, Colo....was listed as the No. 25 player in the Midlands Hot 100 by Scout.com...a pre- and postseason PrepStar Magazine All-American...listed on SuperPrep's All-America team and as the publication's No. 15 running back...ranked as the No. 9 player in the Midlands by SuperPrep...received votes on The Long Beach Press-Telegram's "Best in the West" squad...was the Colorado Springs Player of the Year in 2004 by the Gazette...earned Most Valuable Player honors from his conference...two-time first-team all-state selection...was a three-time first-team all-conference and all-area pick...rushed for 2,225 yards (second in the state) and scored 39 touchdowns (led state)...ran for 200 yards or more in five games in 2004...had a season-best 287 yards against Douglas County ...ran for 1,438 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior...finished his state of Colorado rushing career with 3,388 yards...earned four letters in both football and track and two in baseball...runs a 10.7 100-meters and long jumps 23-9 (state best for the year)...was the only track and field athlete in Colorado to qualify in four events in the state meet (triple jump, long jump, 100-meters and 4x100-meter relay)...qualified for the state meet in the triple jump on the first attempt he ever made in the event... moved to Colorado Springs from St. Louis following his sophomore season...was part of the state championship 4x100 relay team in St. Louis (tied state record)...was coached by Mike Sirko at Doherty...Sirko also coached former Sun Devil tight end Jamaal Lewis.

PERSONAL: Parents are Delbert and Charlotte DeWitty of Colorado Springs, Colo....his father is the director of data warehouse decision support at Fed Ex, and his mother is an accountant...has two siblings: Bryson and Kirsten...born Sept. 26, 1986 in Wichita, Kan....full name is Shaun Jamaal DeWitty.
