- Was credited with six defensive "stops" according to PFF in that Peach Bowl loss, which was the ninth-best single game performance for any player in a postseason Bowl or the College Football Playoff
- His 13 tackles for loss or no gain on the season were 41st among all FBS linebackers and fifth among Big 12 linebackers

- Played 929 snaps on defense for the season, most of any player in the C-USA and 16th-most of any FBS defender in 2023
- Suited up in 12 games for NMSU as a true freshman in 2022, making one start at outside linebacker… Made 27 stops on the year, tied for tenth most on the squad while adding a fumble recovery and a trio of pass break-ups

- Was a three-time All-Conference selection at both quarterback and linebacker … Named First-Team All-State at both linebacker and punter
- Offensively, Elliott accounted for 128 touchdowns throughout his high school career … At linebacker, Elliot tallied 180 tackles, 20 sacks, and four interceptions
- Was a three-sport athlete at Richmond High School in Richmond, Missouri, playing football, basketball, and running track… Won the Missouri state championship in the 4x200m relay … Also a member of the Academic All-Conference and graduated with honors
- Cousin, Linval Elliott, played in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals and San Francisco 49ers, winning Super Bowl XVI with the latter
