- His versatility allows him to play a number of positions, prompting the switch to defensive back in the offseason

- Utilized his versatile and athleticism on the scout team, moving to scout team quarterback following injuries to the position group

- Three-sport athlete at Fort Bend Marshall High School as he competed in track and basketball. Member of the 2015 Boys 5A state champion track and field squad
- Rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 50 ATH prospect in the country by ESPN; ranked as the No. 21 wide receiver prospect in Texas and a three-star prospect by Scout; listed as a three-star prospect by Rivals; tabbed as a three star prospect by 24/7 and the No. 115 wide receiver prospect nationally; received PrepStar All-Midlands Region recognition
- Threw for 791 yards and 13 touchdowns, rushed for more than 100 yards and two touchdowns, and caught 18 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns as a junior in 2014
- Threw for 286 yards and four touchdowns while catching 15 passes for 207 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore in 2013.
