- Started one game for the Sun Devils against Cincinnati and passed for 168 yards on the season

- Sims played in five games with two starts at quarterback in his lone season at Nebraska
- He completed nearly 60 percent of his passes, going 28-of-47 through the air for 282 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Sims rushed 42 times for 189 with one touchdown.
- He wore the No. 7 as one one of 10 Huskers to earn a single-digit number in a team vote selecting him as one of Nebraska's "toughest" players.
- Sims accounted for 205 yards of total offense in his Husker debut at Minnesota. In addition to passing for 114 yards and one touchdown, Sims had a game-high 91 rushing yards on 19 carries. At Colorado, Sims threw for 106 yards and rushed for 67 yards, including a 57-yard rushing touchdown that was the longest run of his career.
- Sims joined the Nebraska program after spending the past three seasons at Georgia Tech. The 6-4, 220-pound Sims started 23 games for the Yellow Jackets over the past three seasons, accounting for more than 5,500 yards of total offense.
- In 2022, Sims started seven games before being sidelined with an injury. He threw for 1,115 yards and five touchdowns, while rushing for 288 yards and a touchdown. His top game came against Duke, when he threw for 227 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 95 yards to lead Georgia Tech to a 23-20 win.
- Sims played in seven games with six starts in 2021, passing for 1,468 yards and 12 touchdowns, while rushing for 372 yards and four touchdowns. Sims highlighted his season by coming off the bench against North Carolina to account for 240 yards and four touchdowns to lead Tech to a 45-22 win over the 20th-ranked Tar Heels. He threw for a career-high 359 yards against eventual ACC champion Pitt, the most by a Tech quarterback in 20 years. He added a 297-yard passing effort with three touchdowns at Duke a week later. Sims notched his second 300-yard passing game of the season with 300 yards and three touchdowns against Virginia, while also rushing for 65 yards in the game. He was named to the ACC All-Academic team for his work in the classroom.
- Sims started 10 games as a true freshman in 2020, and was one of the top freshman quarterbacks in the country. He passed for 1,881 yards and 13 touchdowns, while rushing for 492 yards and six touchdowns. Sims was named ACC Rookie of the Week three times, becoming only the first Yellow Jacket since Calvin Johnson to earn the honor three times. Sims was the first true freshman to start a season opener for Tech since 2003, and he threw for at least 200 yards four times.
- Sims made a quick impression with 277 yards passing and 64 rushing yards in his collegiate debut at Kenny Dillingham coached Florida State. Sims was the only freshman and one of nine FBS players in 2020 to rush for 100 yards and throw three touchdowns passes in a game when he accomplished the feat against Duke.
- Sims was ranked as a four-star prospect and one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation after a standout career at Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Fla. He earned recognition as one of the nation’s “Elite 11” quarterbacks in the prestigious annual quarterback competition. In his career as a three-year starter at Sandalwood, Sims amassed more than 5,000 passing yards, 1,200 rushing yards and had 55 total touchdowns.
