CAREER STATS

OVERVIEW:

•  A rangy and fearless tackler on defense
• Will compete for playing time at safety and possibly SPUR on the season and has been utilized at several positions in his career at ASU
• Has 78 career tackles to his credit, 62 of which are unassisted along with 4.0 tackles for loss, four passes defended, two fumble recovers and two interceptions

REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2016):

• Finished second on the team in tackles, with 64 total, including three TFLs
• Led the team in tackles for four consecutive games (UCLA, Colorado, Washington State, Oregon)
• Recorded a career-best 14 tackles against Oregon (10/29)
• Had a season-high 10 unassisted tackles against UCLA (10/8) and a 22-yard interception return
• Had nine tackles and one 13-yard sack against Washington State (10/22)
• Posted 10 tackles against Colorado (10/15)
• Recorded seven tackles against UTSA (9/16)

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2015)

• Saw increased playing time at the end of the season due to injuries to Moeakiola, finishing the year with eight tackles and a tackle for loss
• Appeared in eleven games for the Sun Devils, providing depth in the secondary
• Recorded his first career interception to seal the game against Washington (11/14)
• Made his first career start against West Virginia (1/2) in the Cactus Bowl, finishing with four tackles

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2014):

• Appeared in eight games for the Sun Devils, providing depth in the secondary
• Finished with six tackles in the season
• Recorded two tackles each against Weber State (08/28) and Oregon State (11/15)

FRESHMAN (2013):

• Redshirted the season after injuring his right shoulder

HIGH SCHOOL:

• One of the nation’s most versatile athletes having played quarterback and safety in high school and can also play linebacker or receiver/tight end
• Threw for 1,600 yards with 16 touchdowns, ran for 500 yards and intercepted seven passes as a junior in 2011
• Rated the No. 24 all-purpose athlete in the country by Rivals.com; listed as the No. 46 safety prospect in the nation by Scout.com; ranked by ESPN as the No. 67 all-purpose athlete prospect in the nation
• An excellent basketball player in High School as well, scoring a school-record 43 points the night before signing with ASU
• Chose ASU over Wisconsin and added reported scholarship offers from Boston College, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kent State, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Tennessee, Toledo and West Virginia
