- A third-team All-America selection by the Associated Press.
- Had a breakout season in 2024, with 75 catches for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns before getting injured in the second half of the Nov. 30 Arizona game and missing the postseason.
- Earned Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year.
- Had five games of 100-yards receiving including 12 catches for 176 yards and two touchdowns at Kansas State on Nov. 16.
- In the first six games, he totaled 25 catches for 369 yards and four touchdowns. In the second six games he had 50 receptions for 732 yards and six scores.
- Tyson had eight touchdowns in six-game stretch and 624 yards (104.0 yards per game) on 44 catches in that span. In the first four games, he had 14 catches for 209 yards with one touchdown.
- Ten touchdowns tied him for sixth all-time in Sun Devil history, one of just 11 Sun Devils total to reach double digits in a season, and the most since Jaelen Strong had 10 in 2014.
- The 176 receiving yards against KSU were the most since Brandon Aiyuk put up 196 on Washington State back on Oct. 12, 2019. It was the most receiving yards in a road game since Devin Lucien had 200 yards at California on Nov. 28, 2015.
- Four of his touchdown receptions were in the final five minutes of a half (two in the first half and two in the second half).
- Three of his seven touchdown catches have come in the fourth quarter of games - tied for fourth among FBS receivers…His 12 third down receiving conversions are tied for 17th in the FBS.
- Tyson has emphasized wide receiver coach Hines Ward’s “No Block, No Rock” mantra as he is fifth among FBS receivers with 298 run-blocking snaps this season.
- Played in nine games as a true freshman in 2022, had 22 receptions for a team leading 470 yards and five total touchdowns this season
- Recorded a 72.5 grade for the season as a receiver that was third among all true freshmen receivers in the country while his 470 receiving yards were Top-10 among all true freshmen receivers for the season
- His 21.36 yards per catch last season were fourth in the country and in the Top-25 of Division I football over the previous five seasons
- Pac-12 Freshman of the Week and special teams player of the week against Arizona State and was voted the offensive player of the game against Arizona State....Had 115 receiving yards and a touchdown, as well as 131 punt return yards with a touchdown, for a total of 246 yards and two touchdowns against Arizona State...First CU player to have 100 receiving yards and punt return yards in a single game...His115 receiving yards against Arizona State are the third-most by a true freshman in CU history

- Played three years of varsity football, as a senior at 6A Allen High School under coach Chad Morris, a junior at 5A Independence High School in Frisco, Texas, under coach Kyle Story and at John Paul II High School, a private high school under coach George Teague
- Senior season he helped Allen to an 11-3 record and No. 8 ranking in the top division in Texas … He had 80 catches for 1,512 yards and 12 touchdowns receiving, completed both of his pass attempts for 34 yards and a touchdown, and on special teams had 10 returns for 212 yards … Had eight 100-yard receiving games and caught multiple touchdowns in three games … Had a three-game stretch with 14 receptions for 353 yards and six touchdowns
- As a junior at Independence, he had 21 catches for 305 yards and five touchdowns and returned eight kickoffs for 160 yards

- Brother Jaylon played hoops at California and was 20th pick overall by Cleveland Cavaliers in 2024 NBA Draft.
