2011 Track: Redshirted... competed unattached of ASU in three races outdoors... won the 3,000m run at the Sun Devil Open in 8:52.59... also competed in the 1,500m run and the 5,000m run... 2010 XC: Redshirted... ran in a pair of races as an unattached individual... finished a season-best 14th at the ASU Invitational... also was 25th at the Dave Murray Invitational to open the season.
High School: A 2010 graduate of Chandler High School (Chandler, Ariz.)... lettered three times in cross country and twice in track & field... captained the cross country team twice... named his cross country team's MVP twice... also selected the Chandler High School Most Valuable Distance Runner twice... member of the All-Tribune Cross Country Team in 2009 (selected by the East Valley Tribune)... helped the 4x800m relay to the state title as a senior... the relay, which also included current Sun Devil runner Jared Gonzales, ran a school-record 8:00.14 to win the title... selected as an AP Scholar with Honors... member of the National Honors Society...
