Her parents are Michael and Andrea and she has a younger sister named Alyssa. Both parents have military connections, with Michael attending Air Force and Andrea attending Navy. They both played sports as well, Michael powerlifted and Andrea ran track and rowed. Maria is part of Barrett, The Honors College at ASU.
- Won her season debut against Park on Senior Day, winning on court four with Adriana Nieves Papaleo.
- Made collegiate debut in the home finale alongside Maia Nichols in the No. 3 spot, beating Ottawa in three sets.
- 2021 Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.
- Did not compete in team duals.
- Competed at the Canyon Classic pairs tournament with Bailey Anderson.

- Was a middle blocker at James Madison High School, captain of the varsity squad.
- Played club beach volleyball for Stingray Volleyball Academy.

- Won the 18s division at Dulles AAU Beach Volleyball Qualifier II.
- In high school, was part of the National Honors Society and Science Honors Society, as well as making the honor roll all four years.
