Freshman (2016):

• Appeared in nine games and made two starts, tallying a 3.34 ERA while striking out 21 and walking 18 in 29.2 innings
• In his first post-season start, he pitched a dominant eight innings, allowing just three runs off six hits while striking out a career-high nine in a regional elimination game against Gonzaga (6/5)
• Tossed 2.2 scoreless innings in his start against San Diego, allowing just two hits (5/18)
• Allowed just two hits while striking out two in 2.2 innings of work against New Mexico (5/1)
• Earned his first career win in a dominant complete game shutout against then-No. 15 California, allowing just three hits while striking out seven, setting career-highs in innings pitched and strikeouts (4/17)
• Faced two batters and recorded two outs as he allowed no hits and struck out one in his first collegiate appearance at Oregon State (3/18)

High School:

• Earned two varsity letters and was a team captain one year
• High school baseball awards include All-State as a utility player and All-State Academic honors
• Participated in Area Codes and Perfect Game showcases

Personal: Chose ASU because it is a baseball school...His brothers have had the biggest influence on his baseball career so far...The greatest obstacle he has overcome in life has been losing of his closest uncles recently...Goals for his baseball career include winning a national championship while at ASU and being on the cover of Sports Illustrated...Outside of baseball he plans on receiving a degree in criminal justice and hopes to be in the FBI...Had a brother that also attended Arizona State and his step brother played baseball for Western Oregon.
