Ended his career with a 16-6 record and a 3.50 ERA in 46 appearances for the Devils. He recorded 186 strikeouts in 244 innings pitched in three seasons before being drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 17th round of the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

Sophomore (2015):

  • Made 16 appearances, including 15 starts, and threw 82.2 innings, second-most on the team
  • Went 2-2 with a 4.03 ERA, and notched 58 strikeouts, tied for fourth-most on the team, compared to just 28 walks
  • His 3.05 walks per nine innings ranked as the second-lowest on the team among pitchers with at least 20 innings pitched
  • Made seven midweek starts in 2014 and two in 2015, was moved to the Friday night starter role prior to Long Beach State series March 6-8, and made 10 Friday night starts until he went to the Sunday starter role prior to Washington State series May 14-16. He made two starts on Sunday before he pitched Saturday against Cal State Fullerton in the Fullerton Regional

Freshman (2014):

  • Went 5-0 in seven starts and 12 appearances
  • His 50 innings pitched ranked fourth on the team and most among freshmen

  • Notched a 4.32 ERA and a .266 opposing batting average
  • Struck out 34 compared with 16 walks
  • Took over for injured starter Brett Lilek with two outs in the top of the first inning in the postseason opener vs No. 25 Pepperdine (5/30) and allowed two runs on three hits and struck out seven in 6.1 innings. He gave up two runs on a pair of walks and two base hits in the second inning, but settled down and retired the next 16 batters he faced, including five consecutive perfect frames. He struck out a career-high seven and did not allow a baserunner until a leadoff single in the eighth inning.
  • Allowed just two hits and no runs in a career-long seven innings, and tied his career high with six strikeouts, in a win over New Mexico State (4/29)
  • Struck out six in four innings, including the side in the fourth, and gave up just one run on three hits and two walks to earn the win in his first career appearance vs Wichita State (3/18)
  • Allowed two runs on six hits and struck out three vs No. 20 UNLV (4/15)
  • Gave up four earned runs on five hits in 4.1 innings in a midweek game vs Arizona (3/26)
  • Tossed a scoreless inning in his first Pac-12 appearance vs USC (4/5)
