  • Picked up two saves vs Stanford (3/28-29), including a perfect five-out save and a four-out save with three strikeouts
  • Threw two innings at Oregon (3/20), striking out five Ducks, including two with bases loaded in the eighth and ninth innings, respectively, to earn his fourth win of the year

USA Collegiate National Team (2014):

  • Burr made 12 appearances for the Collegiate National Team, good for second on the team, and pitched 11 innings without giving up a single run and only allowing one hit
  • Burr finished tied for the team lead with three saves and led the team with nearly 15 strikeouts per nine innings
  • He helped the Collegiate National Team to another successful summer, which included winning four of five games against Chinese Taipei and two of three vs. Japan. The team also came away with the Honkbal championship in Haarlem, the Netherlands, as they went 7-1 with a pair of wins over host Netherlands
  • 11th Sun Devil representative to play for the Collegeiate National Team since 2007

Sophomore (2014):

  • Tied the team-high with 30 appearances, including 27 out of the bullpen, and threw 44 innings, including 31.2 in relief
  • All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention
  • Second Team Pac-12 All-Academic
  • Recorded 12 saves for the second consecutive season
  • Struck out 56 and had a 3.27 ERA and a .149 opposing batting average with a 3-3 record
  • Registered a 1.99 ERA and a .126 opposing batting average with a 2-2 record as a reliever in 31.2 innings
  • Made three starts in the first three weeks of the season before moving back to the closer role
  • Recorded the save in wins over five ranked teams and had seven saves in Pac-12 play
  • Earned the save in back-to-back wins at No. 4 Oregon State as he struck out two in a perfect 10th inning (3/22) and struck out the final batter of the game looking and allowed just two baserunners in two scoreless innings (3/23)
  • Struck out a career-high five and allowed one hit in 2.2 relief innings to earn the series-clinching win at No. 15 UCLA (3/30)
  • Allowed one walk and no hits in 1.2 relief innings vs USC to earn his third win of the season (4/4)
  • Struck out one in a four-out save at No. 15 UCLA (3/29)
  • Recorded the final four outs of the game to record his first save of the season against Tennessee in his first appearance out of the bullpen (3/7)
  • Collected the save in the final game of the regular season at Washington State (5/25) with a perfect ninth inning
  • Struck out three in consecutive games, including the final Pac-12 game at Packard Stadium vs Utah (5/18) and the final game at Packard Stadium vs Abilene Christian (5/20)
  • Earned his first win of the season and his first career as a starter as he logged a career-high six innings and allowed two runs on five hits and struck out a pair vs Gonzaga (2/28)
  • Made his first career start in the season opener vs Baylor and allowed one run on two hits and three walks, and struck out five in four innings
  • Retired six straight against Washington (3/16) before surrendering the eventual game-winning home run in the 11th inning
  • Recorded the final two outs of the Devils’ postseason loss to Sacramento State (5/30)
  • Selected to play for the USA Collegiate National Team over the summer for the second consecutive season, joining Dustin Pedroia as the only Sun Devils in school history to play for the twice

USA Collegiate National Team (2013):

  • Was the 20th Sun Devil since 1984 to play for the USA Collegiate National Team
  • Seventh consecutive Devil to play for the team (ninth different representative since 2007)
  • His six saves tied a USA Baseball Collegiate National Team record
  • His 20 strikeouts ranked third on the team behind a pair of starters who pitched 23.2 innings and 17 innings, respectively, compared to just 9.2 for Burr
  • Recorded the final out of the summer to give Team USA a historic five-game series sweep over the Cuban National Team (first USA team ever to defeat Cuba in five consecutive games)
  • He appeared in three of the team’s five games against Cuba and collected two saves and seven strikeouts in 3.2 innings
  • Overall he allowed just two hits and one run with a 0.93 ERA and a .067 opposing batting average over nine appearances
  • He did not allow a hit or a run in eight of them

Freshman (2013): 

  • Earned First Team NCBWA Freshmen All-American honors, Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American honors and honorable mention All-Pac-12 recognition
  • Set the school's freshman single-season saves record with 12, the most of any Devil since 2010, and the most in the Pac-12 in 2013
  • His .141 opposing batting average was the lowest mark in school history
  • Made 31 appearances and pitched a team-high 45 relief innings
  • His 60 strikeouts were second most on the team
  • Earned four saves against top-five teams, including two vs. Arkansas and two vs. then-No. 4 UCLA
  • Allowed six hits and five earned runs in 14.1 innings in eight games against top-five teams (three runs came in 0.2 innings against Oregon)
  • Allowed just two hits and one run, and struck out four with three walks, and recorded one save in 3.2 postseason innings
  • Finished a team-high 26 games, third most in Pac-12
  • Earned four wins (against Oregon, at Cal, at Utah and Arizona)
  • Both season-long appearances came against SEC opponents as he went three on the road at Tennessee and three against then-No. 2 Arkansas
  • Struck out a season-high four on three occasions, including against then-No. 2 Arkansas
  • Did not allow more than two hits in any appearance
  • Also earned four wins and two losses
  • Blew his first and only save opportunity on the road at Texas Tech after walking in the winning run March 19
  • Two-time Scholar Baller honoree (Spring '13, Fall '12)

MLB Draft: Was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 33rd round (1026th overall) of the 2012 MLB Draft.
