
2011 (Junior): Was again Arizona State's most consistent hitter...started 60 games in the outfield...named First Team All-Pac-10 and Second Team ABCA All-West Region...hit .327 (80-245) with 53 runs scored and 37 RBI...stole 23 bases and drew 34 walks...drafted in the 8th round of the MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles.
2010 (Sophomore): Turned in another outstanding season, earning Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 honors...appeared in 55 games, starting 54, mostly in the outfield...hit .351 with four homers and 35 RBI...added seven doubles and seven triples...slugged .524 and had an OBP of .452...drew 30 walks and stole 10 bases...hit two homers against BYU on May 10.
2009 (Freshman): Appeared in 50 games, starting 29...played mostly designated hitter but also played all three outfield positions...hit .360 (36-100) with one homer and 13 RBI...his first career homer came against Arizona in Tucson, homering off the video board in right field...stole 12 bases...was named to the All-Tempe Regional team...played in the Cape Cod League over the summer, playing in the All-Star game at Fenway Park in Boston and winning the batting title.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Joliet (Ill.) Catholic Academy...lettered three times in baseball and football, and served as team captain in both sports for two years... selected as a Rawlings All-American...named conference player of the year and first-team all-state in 2008...three-time all-conference selection in baseball...had a .450 career batting average, and went 11-2 as a pitcher during his senior season...a first-team all-academic selection as a junior and senior...named MVP of the 2008 Perfect Game WWBA 18U National Championship at East Cobb, Ga., going 11-20 with 11 stolen bases and 11 walks in 10 games...started at quarterback and helped lead Joliet Catholic football team to a state championship in 2007...also won conference player of the year and received all-state and all-conference honors as a senior in football.
