SOPHOMORE (2025)
- Appeared in 14 games with 4 starts, tossing 21.1 innings
- Struck out 32 batters, while surrendering only 13 walks… Finished the season with a 2-2 record
- Logged his first career win in the rubber match at TCU, throwing 0.2 innings to close out the game
- Was exceptional for the Cotuit Kettleers in the Cape Cod league over the summer, recording a 1.95 ERA over 27.2 innings with 26 strikeouts and a 1-1 record… His ERA was the sixth-lowest in the premier summer league in college baseball
FRESHMAN (2024)
- Saw lots of time on the mound as a true freshman, appearing in 20 games with seven starts and striking out 54 over 38.0 innings of work
- Had a monstrous outing against Cal State Fullerton, striking out 13 batters in only 5.0 innings of action...He had seven-straight strikeouts at one point - the fourth-most consecutively in program history
- His 13 total strikeouts in the game were tied for the seventh-most at ASU since the 1998 season and the most since Adam Tulloch had 13 against San Francisco in 2022, though Tulloch accomplished the feat in seven innings. The last time a pitcher had more than 13 strikeouts in a game prior to Tulloch was Jake Borup (13) in 2010. Of the 15 pitchers since 1998 with 13+ strikeouts, Halvorson's 5.0 innings pitched were tied for the fewest with Jon Switzer against Southern Utah in 2001
- Went on to dominate the Alaska Baseball League in the summer as he led the league with 60 strikeouts - 17 more than any other player - over only 37.0 innings of work for a gaudy 14.59 K/9 and recording a 2.68 ERA to boot
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
- Local product out of Chaparral High School that had a solid club season in 2022 as he posted a 0.79 ERA over 26.2 innings and nine appearances...Struck out a whopping 45 in that stretch while allowing just a .141 average against and opponents to slug just .174... Showed off at the dish as well with a .324 average over 34 ABs
- Posted a career 2.40 ERA at Chaparral over 22 varsity games, including an exceptional senior season in which he posted a 1.24 ERA and a 7-1 record and struck out 78 to just 14 walks over 56.1 innings...Did plenty at the dish as well with a .326 average and a .426 OBP
