- Made nine appearances on the season, totaling a 9.64 ERA while striking out six in 9.1 innings
- Went a perfect inning against Arizona, retiring the side in order and striking out one (4/4)
- Tossed another perfect inning in his next appearance against Stanford (5/5)
Freshman (2016):
- Faced two batters and recorded two outs in his first collegiate appearance against Nevada (2/23)
- Tossed a shutout inning in his first career Pac-12 appearance at Washington State (4/1)
- Earned his first career strikeout against Michigan (3/6)
High School:
- Selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 37th round (1102nd overall) of the 2015 MLB Draft
- In high school he won the football state championship and was the captain of both football and baseball his senior year
- He had an 8-3 varsity record in high school baseball and earned academic All-American while playing football
Personal: Chose ASU because “Arizona State is the best University, why not come here”...he says the biggest influence in his baseball career so far is his father...goals for his ASU baseball career are two national titles and he hopes to play professional baseball...hopes to graduate from ASU in three years and professionally outside of baseball, hopes to teach a 5th grade class for at least three years...his relatives that have participated in college or professional sports are Ric Clark, Henry Felder, Garvin Alston, Quinton McCracken, Dorrin Speed...father, Garvin, Sr., was hired as the bullpen coach for the Arizona Diamondbacks during the 2015-16 season.
