High School: A 2010 graduate of Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California...earned four varsity letters and served as team captain in 2010...as a junior was named First Team All-League and First Team All-State...turned in an amazing senior season, earning Trinity League MVP honors...was named the 2010 Orange County Player of the Year, Los Angeles Times Player of the Year, CIF Player of the Year, Max Preps State Player of the Year and was Named California's Mr. Baseball...was also a First Team All-American and was a member of the 18U Team USA that won the gold medal...helped lead Mater Dei to a CIF title, starting the title game and throwing a combined perfect game.

MLB Draft: A 26th round pick (784th overall) of the San Diego Padres in the 2010 Major League Baseball draft.
