  • With his first-quarter catch, senior Kyle Williams moved into a tie for 4th place with N’Keal Harry in ASU history with 37 consecutive games with a catch.  
  • Michael Turk’s 59-yard punt in the first quarter and 51-yarder in the third and 63-yarder in the fourth total 17 punts of 50+ yards this season

    • Also, the most passing yards by a true freshman in his first career appearance since 1997 at 292

Big Play Frank
  • Frank Darby now has four touchdown catches over his last two games after putting together back-to-back two-touchdown performances. Prior to that, he entered the game with five total receiving touchdowns in his career.
  • With his 62-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter, 13 of Frank Darby’s 51 career catches (26%) have gone for 30+ yards.
  • His 86-yard performance put him over 1,000 career receiving yards, the third current Sun Devil to hit 1,000 career receiving yards.

    • It was a five-yard completion to senior Kyle Williams

  • Joey Yellen’s four touchdown passes were the most for a Sun Devil in their first-career start in program history.
  • His 292 passing yards were the fourth-most for a Sun Devil in their first-career start in program history (Rudy Carpenter, 401; Sam Keller, 370; Steven Threet, 339; Dillon Sterling-Cole, 302). 
Brand New Brandon
  • Aiyuk’s two-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter was his first TD catch from less than 30 yards this season.  
    • Entering today’s game, All five of his touchdown receptions in 2019 had been for more than 30 yards (77 yards vs. Kent State, 53 yards vs. Colorado, 40 yards vs. WSU, 86 yards vs. WSU, 33 yards vs. WSU)
  • He compiled 220 all-purpose yards (169 kick return yards; 51 receiving yards), putting him over 2,000 career all-purpose yards in under two years at ASU (2,145).
Second-Half Adjustments
  • The Sun Devils entered the game 26th nationally in allowing 10.3 second half points per game against FBS opponents and limited the Trojans to just three points on Saturday after USC erupted for 28 points in the first quarter.
  • ASU was 14th nationally and second in the Pac-12 in allowing only 4.3 fourth quarter points per game and improved upon that by shutting out the Trojans in the final frame.

  • Eno Benjamin racked-up 100 all-purpose yards (52 rushing; 48 receiving) tonight, giving him 16 career games in which he reached century mark in all-purpose yards.

  • Kyle Williams matched a career-high with eight catches, including his 10th-career touchdown catch (1st of the season).
  • Eno Benjamin tied a career-high with seven catches (48 receiving yards).
  • Brandon Aiyuk’s 97-yard kick return in the first quarter marks a new career-long.  
    • His previous high was 37, vs. Arizona in 2018
  • Aiyuk also set a new career-high with total kickoff return yards in a game, with 169

  • George Lea tied his career-high in tackles for loss, registering 1.5 this afternoon
