ASU Women's Golf Tied for Seventh after First Round of Stanford Intercollegiate

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona State Sun Devils shot an eight-over par 300 in the first round of the Stanford Women's Intercollegiate in Palo Alto, California to sit in a tie for seventh with Ohio State, only five strokes behind first-round leader Oregon (three-over par 295). Rounding out the top five are Stanford (296), New Mexico State (298), Arizona (299) and Louisiana State (299).
Leading the Devils individually are junior Keri Cornelius and freshman Grace Park who both shot an even-par 73 on the day. Both golfers are tied for seventh individually. Junior Jody Niemann is tied for 24th with a two-over 75 while teammate Jeanne-Marie Busuttil is tied for 60th with a six-over par 79. Senior Kellee Booth is currently tied for 70th with a seven-over par 80. Junior Tui Selvaratnam, competing as an individual, shot a two-over par 75 and is tied for 24th.
Second-round action continues tomorrow with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m. from the first and 10th tees at the Stanford Golf Course.
