2002: Played in all 14 games...was named a Sporting News First-Team All-Pac-10 selection...honored as a second-team All-Pac-10 specialist...led the Pac-10 and ranked 16th in the nation with an average of 42.7 yards per punt ...had 79 punts for 3,372 yards...that puts him second all-time at ASU for punting yards in a season...had only 10 touchbacks while sticking 27 punts inside the 20-yard line...against San Diego State, had 10 punts for 417 yards (41.7 avg.), three of which were over 50 yards, and stuck four punts inside the 20-yard line...recorded a 75-yard punt at USC...completed a 23-yard pass against Oregon on a fake punt.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Graduated from Southwestern Community College in Chula Vista, Calif....earned first-team All-America honors as a punter at Southwestern...also named first-team all-state and all-conference...averaged 43.2 yards per punt...set school records for longest punts with boots of 76 and 67 yards...connected on 12 of 21 field goal attempts with a long of 49 yards...also kicked off at Southwestern...was coached by Mike Pompa...also lettered in baseball and earned first-team all-conference honors...recorded an 8-6 record as a pitcher.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 1999 graduate of Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, Calif....was an honorable-mention all-conference selection as a kicker and quarterback...was coached by Gene Alim...set all of Eastlake's kicking and punting records...lettered three years in football and baseball...posted a 13-1 record as a pitcher...earned first-team all-conference, second-team all-league and second-team all-county honors in baseball...turned in a school-record 2.10 ERA and 97 strikeouts as a senior.
